The typical F2F post is either an interpretation of what a fictional character would wear or an outfit that “channels” the book sartorially. And for that reason, we haven’t had many chances to feature shops that directly source their inspiration from literature. A total blind spot, right? That’s why we’re starting Fiction to Fashion Faves, where we can spotlight the cool kids who are making amazing fashion out of awesome fiction.
Out of Print has always existed on the peripherals of my life. I’ve seen their merch on others, I’ve inquired about said merchandise’s orgins, but I’ve always stopped short of the register. Then when I happened upon their booth sale at BEA this year, my impulse robbed me of my money and gained me my favorite shirt.
It is downright divine to have found a shirt that not only puts your literary allegiances on blast, but is well-made, flattering, comfortable as a hammock made of bunnies. Plus it supports a noble cause. (For each product sold, one book is donated to a community in need through our partner Books For Africa.)
That’s why I had to devote a little Internet space to show off how crazy good these shirts look in real life. If you were thinking about getting one, just do it. You don’t want to live in a world where you don’t have an Out of Print shirt on your body.
